Peek, Peep, and Peer on display in Los Angeles during August

I’m excited to share that Peek, Peep, and Peer will be part of Tag Gallery’s CA Open 2017, on display in Los Angeles, August 9-26.
Views is my 2017 fine art collection that explores the human condition through a visual language shaped by light, power, communications, sexuality, and the landscape. Each set explores how we perceive, using a variety of media to analyze the view.

Fine Art and Community at Wilshire Vermont in Los Angeles, #ArtToEndViolence on display

Please join me this Thursday evening for a night of art and community. I’ll be attending the artist meet and greet at the cocktail reception.

#ArttoEndViolence will be on display in the gallery for the next year. I’ll have a few other works with me for the evening.

Please also catch Viral: 25 years from Rodney King at SPARC in Venice. This amazing show illustrates the history of police violence in the United States.

#ArtToEndViolence, #BlueHolocaust, and the other paintings featured in both Los Angeles based shows, are watercolor and ink on paper.

K. Ryan Henisey won an Award of Excellence for his fine art watercolor a at the 2015 California State Fair. His watercolor works and other paintings have been featured in locations throughout California.

Today is the last day of the show!

My set, #Sticks&Stones, was selected as part of the Los Angeles Art Associations special Pride Exhibit, “Out There.” It will be on display June 12-19th in Gallery 825 right in my neighborhood.

The opening reception was, Friday, June 12 from 6-9 pm in the gallery and it was awesome! I’m thrilled and proud to be part of this exhibit and to have it so close to home!

#Sticks&Stones is part of a larger body of work, #ArttoEndViolence, of which the titular piece has been selected for Fine Arts at The California State Fair, 2015.

#Sticks&Stones is a four piece set, watercolor, wax and ink depicting the murders and suicides of LGBT Americans.
